Learn to surf in Puerto Vallarta

Have you ever dreamed of learning to surf in the warm waters of Puerto Vallarta Mexico? Meet our friend Jose "Pepe", owner of Puerto Vallarta Surfing!

Who is Jose "Pepe"?

Growing up in Tijuana, Pepe started as a skateboarder on halfpipes. His uncle, who taught him to surf at 12, thought it would be a safer sport. Once Pepe started surfing, he never looked back and competed throughout Baja and San Diego.
Pepe was a member (twice-over) on the Mexican National Surf team and represented Mexico in the ISA in Portugal.

With over 40 years of surfing, Pepe's passion for teaching and expanding people's access to the sport is as strong as ever. He provides top-quality surf experiences and professional level guidance that is easy to understand and implement. When a client walks away feeling more confident and eager to continue their surfing journey, that is the highest compliment he could receive.

Why Pepe chooses Neso!

"Having the Neso tent is a key part of our surf equipment and services. It's incredibly easy to set up and take down, and provides true shade from the sun unlike other tents that don't have the same style or quality of fabric. It stands up against offshore winds that can blow through or the rogue breeze that takes down other umbrellas and tents we see on the beach. We had clients join us who wanted to pitch their own tent and it took about 20 minutes for them to get it set up and they barely had any room underneath.  It was a really interesting product comparison (albeit informally done)."

The Neso tent helps us look more professional and polished, and clients rave about it. They can store their belongings under it, keep their beverages cool, and items in a secure spot versus just laying out in the open on the sand.  It makes for a great place to take much needed breaks from the sun to rehydrate and take a rest. We love the Gigante when we have a large group, but we equally love the Neso 1 when there is just one or two people."
